Beaten by it, time to catch up.

These few months were difficult trying to figure out what was my heart desires. Through the series of events, prayer began to intensify. Out of it was compliance and knowing the situation and circumstance was there to draw neigh to God.

Let's have a summary. If not, you guys will suffer nervous tension reading it...

-Job Assignment
-Period of two weeks
-Quit to move on because of ambiguity

Series of Value Addedness

• Photography (job requires photoshoot[snap n night shots] at Suntect Fountain of Wealth for public)
• Push of the button (angle, quick n snap shots, night shots with laser background, use of larger flash, position of small n large group shots)
• Sales (service delivery in view with moment of truth[biz svs stuff], book keeping, cash)
• Set-up and close of business (wiring up wireless-lan box with camera and barcode printer, adaptor switch n charging of diff equipment, change of thermal printer paper)

So long, Farewell

• To jovial n gd laughs security guards-Rahim, Joshua n Raj(these security guards are those whom in actuality and diligently carried out their duties proper)
• Colleagues- Jian Fei, May, Clement, Jack(Boss) & Wanting
• Camera Canon G5, wide angle lens, mono-pod(tri-pod comes separately) and "stuck-up light saber"(wireless antenna)

Derived Values

• Asians are GENERALLY camera shy and unspontaneous
• Singaporeans are GENERALLY not fine except for most Malays n Indians(MICkeys r dreadful)
• I, as a chinese, pledge myself to be one spontaneous citizen, regardless of race, hope to not be like most asians, to speak with dynamic energy, give e most of my serviceability, so as to achieve friendliness, respectability and lotsa motivation
• Treat one another with respect-service line tends to be rather humbling, but not to be taken for granted nor is it a stepping over n tarnishing job
• Carry out duties accordingly, admit mistakes if its yours(dunno how many sorries said since start of work being newbie)
• Take 100% responsibility over your charge(like wad bro sam shared-maturity=knowing what you have to do n get it done)
• There are 3 types of motivation-Proactive(make things happen), Reactive(waiting for things to happen) n Inactive(gd as non-existed)
• Regarding what was said above, I literally forced myself to “be irritating” and “crazy” at work because SALES could be horrific n it’s my scope to approach and encourage e public for night shots despite strong rejection from multitudes
• Communication skills could be learnt and improved if one is daring to speak up n willingly accept their mistakes and rejections
• It was ultimately fun to work in the area of arts and biz
• DO NOT DOUBT YOUR CAPABILITY AND ABILITY THAT GOD CAN WORK THRU' YOU WHEN OTHERS WIPE YOU DOWN

A Short Talk with May

She’s unsaved. Secularly vulgar in her language but that’s just her and I didn’t take it to heart though in point she does use it on me. Well, of my short talk with her, then I realized what a 25 year old would think. She shared with me her ‘younger’ days when she went out clubbing, drank n got totally drunk in countless occasions locally n overseas with problems being burdened in her life. Details weren’t necessary, I wasn’t really close to this colleague, but was delighted over her victory over her drinking habits.

Finally, she got over that stage. “…Drinking gets you nowhere. You burn your pockets and what for? No benefits entirely…”-quote. I was like, through the conversation realized that a wild and ignorant lady actually woke up from her own deception.

For a change, she spent like 2000 over dollars traveling to Sweden and exotic places like Cambodia and exclaimed the money to be well invested for. Well, I wouldn’t agree more. A typical drink a night could have cost her to a near hundred. Of course, if it doesn’t fall on the ladies night.

I’m still in thoughts about us drinking. Socially that is. I couldn’t derive to a definite answer because many replied with their spirit conformed and soothed to the nature. There wasn’t a firm conviction. Extremes unnecessary, but somehow if there’s a truth, why wouldn’t we want live up to His standards?

Air Force

• Took Computerised Pilot Selection System Test(CPSS)
• Received call from RSAF Career Centre and passed CPSS
• Received letter and due for Pilot Selection Interview Board on 14 Jun 05
• Passed the interview(with a lieutenant colonel, a heli pilot) on the spot(waited from 12pm-4.30pm becos i was the last 4) and was arranged for a aeromedical check up at Paya Lebar Air Base(PLAB)
• Reported for medical check up at aeromedical centre on 17 Jun 05, 0800hrs
• They drew my blood n left me droopy back home
• Even my thigh was measured in a upright sitting position to check for cockpit seat space allowance and rudder distance
• They measured my arms and hands to make out if I could reach the control systems i.e. throttle, joystick (argh, they knew I couldn’t touch my shoulders!)
• My nose is slightly shifted n e doc keep asking me if I experience any breathing probs despite having said “no” a number of times (I recalled signing an agreement to a surgery if they find that shift to hinder my nasal respiration. They better pay if have to)
• Another doc gave me a whole body (exterior) check n he touched me!(ohhhh..he touched me..[MS song])
• The check up was much faster than CMPB n very satisfied with ST Medical Services
• Above all said, if I’m tested for Thalessamia minor-positive, my journey would thus end. Appreciate if you guys could offer prayers for me. Thanks!

Sunday (19^th Jun)

• Got to sit down with Bro Sam to seek Godly counsel regarding pilot as a career choice
• Gotten very good insights towards what God might actually be planning and doing
• Realized that my ministries are at stake and I’m still unsure about this route and journey
• A lot of complications, still rendering in my heart to resolve thru’ these few weeks of praying and seeking
• I must be prepared for greater things to come
• Da is off for OCS and I ought to keep up his standards to being platoon best, to a near compete to company best (like how? I’m only ENLISTING on the 7 Oct!)
• Never seen Jia so jovial and laughing away with the group of girls at Starbucks (I hope you’ll keep up the spirit of Joy that the Lord has given you)

There are many stuff happening. It’s like mad. To follow is easy, but to make sound decisions and be decisive can be such a hard-hitting pain. I couldn’t imagine what would happen to the ministry God had entrusted into my care, family and relationship.

What would happen in the near future?
Where will I go?
What about Jia Jia?
Do I already have solutions on hand for the dilemmas?
