3 weeks into my work frame. I'm adjusting and trying to fit in to the office work environment. I used to look at these CSRs and think they'll prob just die in their own space with their own computer. Look wad's happening now? Alvin is dressed up formally and collared up with a tie. I'm so choked by the collar everyday. Guessed wad? I'm a CSR now. Retribution? Nonsense...I'm just humbled by my was words...

In a call centre, work can be very demanding and dynamic. Knowledge about SIA products and systems can be very deep. Shall there be anything ya dunno, ask. It's like i ask questions more than i work in a typical day. I know i can hardly be an office kinda person, so why did i study business? Well, to me, its still interesting...It's the very reason why i specialized myself in service managment n kick ass when customers roar!

Well, some may be very nice tho, but wads the stake? 0-1. Customers win, you can't. You win, you're almost done. Aww...poor fellow CSRs...now i truly understand what they're going thru. Office politics can be very powerful, they're VERY influencial. I'm not in it, neither am i one. I'm still new tho. Guess what?

Our environment are poisoned. Believe me not, or you shld have seen it urself. Chr can be e place too. I mean, i'm saddened. Ppl say bout' ppl, ppl get hurt, ppl get angry..ppl get harderned..ppl leave..ppl nv returned..ppl hates..ppl heck care..ppl ignorant..ppl far from complete..others think near perfection..

PEOPLE-DIVISION

Ok.Period.

Next, i din't know there was a National Thalassemia Registry. They called me up n asked me to go for a talk with a doctor and get him to explain the family tree thingy. I knew about it. Reminds me e shadows of being a pilot...(how can i say i'm not saddened?e hrt is still frail i guess, but it'll pass by...)

I din't dare to send in e 'Singapore Civil Service Personal Particulars' form and nominate two sureties...Present post box had a blue chop with prints 'PILOT TRAINEE'. Augh...pain memories. It's been months to get thus far...Da told me his Air Wing OCT friends said Pilots don't take in Thalassaemias.

In the pamphlet sent to me, these are the insights you guys should noe about:
There are two types of thalassaemia
I) Thalassaemia minor (thalassaemia trait)
II) Thalassaemia major
A person who has inherited one thalassaemia gene is said to have thalassaemia minor. He or she is healthy and leads a normal life. Most people with thalassaemis minor do not know that they have it. However, the affected persons can pass on the abnormal gene to their children.

Thalassamia major is a severe form of anaemia. The affected person has inherited two thalassaemia genes, one from each parent. He or she may look normal at birth but within 1-2 years of life, will suffer from severe anaemia, which leads to poor growth and development as well as a shorter lifespan.

The affected person will need blood transfusion every month to sustain life. At present, a bone marrow transplant is the only hope of possible cure for thalassaemia major.

Thalassaemia is an inherired blood disorder which is caused by an abnormal gene. A person with thalassaemia is unable to produce normal, functioning haemoglobin in the blood. Haemoglobin carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body. When the body is not able to produce normal, functioning haemoglobin, the affected person suffers from anaemia.

Thalassaemia is passed on from parent to child and can affect both males and females. In Singapore, about 3% of the population are carries of the thalassemia gene.

The above is brought to you with courtesy from Health Promotion Board(HSA). Wow. I'm like in that 3%! So, how does it affect pilots? I believe up in the air, when you're pulling Gs(not G-strings but G-Forces), blood rushes like anything. If any reason thalassaemia wld be anaemic, why wld RSAF take chances right? I hope i don't get sued for writing this. E machines are costly, n i wld understand their positions to this.

Anyway, i think i'll pluck up the courage to still fill in the particulars and send it in. Whether or not its thru, i'll leave it to God since i've done what i could.

Career and passion aside. I was on msn with rachel(my member) and i got to know more about her in her sch counsel. Then i realized many others possess alot of skills that i've may not have tapped to pool resources tog and get some projs running for God.

Youth today are dynamic and shld realize their potential to organize and carry out events. I was thinking about some cranky and odd ministry that could add on to what we have. I've never been to CHC nor any other churches not because Alvin dun wanna see e 'world' in a larger view, but there is potential in our ppl that we've not realized!

I kept dreaming because i hope God can concrete the ideas using His people. Ever tot of eventzgelism? Like having a committed group of ppl(ppl must be God loving of course!) organizing events with what resources(incld $$$) we have for the youths?! Continual events cld draw churchies to be more involved and if there's something to do, why wun e frens wanna join in for biking trips, or canoeing race or trekking in Spore(i've tried it myself, n it's really fun) or many lots more?

Youth possess energy and can be motivated quickly if done the right way. Argh, perhaps Kenny or other social workers in e line cld offer something more so do kick me aside ya? Haha...Well, at least, youth cld be more influenced if more time is spent tog and coaching or mentoring or monitoring cld serve a better purpose? During trips or outing, as communication gets going, God gets communicated. When everything just get going, wldn't they wanna catch up with the pace we're firing for God?

Biang oei. Speedlighters can be more than what we thought we can be. When i asked ard, many said others are not enthu. OIE. You not one mehz? If we constantly think of others moving first before we do to 'check e market', who sells the fruits? It's not about just looking at others n be envious over their energy n be in the 'wah' with the system...Its about how you can also in your belonging where God called you to be utilizing what He has for us to create tt opportunity when we draw closer and closer to Him...

Will not His spirit encompass and fill us till overflowing as promised? If He does, will not opportunities arrive when we ask for one? Will He not grant us strength and resources to start and flame on for our youth prog n ministry? Did not our senior Pastor said that resources are God's duty and ours to carry on the work?

God gave us creativity ain't it? Why not have a 'wha-la!' ministry where youth can clean up the church, working with the cleaners and make e church just look wonderfully clean? Well, they can have loads of fun communicating and playing with detergents(of course not all over the place) and clean up tiles flooring n learn how to vaccum e carpeted floors! Spoilt kids aren't e youths today? Let them learn how to do all these n move out with e set of skills to help others in community projs n put their wits to cream up walls n reach out!

Of course, many ideas can come, but who to realize it right? i hope i had the time, but its running out, i'm going NS n spdlight camp will be tough for me to attend. I wanna bring some energy to committee and have loads of thinking n praying n lots of compassion. When we lean closely to God, e rest shld come easily. Now i realize my cell members have lots of skill sets n resources. Why din't i tap them more!? They're youths right?!

What bout' t-shirts that spells u-n-i-t-e-d-i-n-c-h-r-i-s-t? if a cell have 10 members, each take a alphabet and make it a point to bring four others to wear it and be an ambassdor of christ?of course, e t-shrit design musn't be too cuckoo too...e point is still, christ in the centre, projs second. So if e hrt is right, genuine love from Godly ppl wld touch n draw others to God too right? If e 14 word is done up, link up with more like unitedinchrist-w-e-s-t-a-n-d. Once you get another 7 members, total cell wld be like 21 ppl n time to multiply..

It's more fun n objective oriented in a creativity tt is right for God ain't it?

So why din't e youth do all these thinking and get some really gd ideas going? i mean, mine's not e super gd ones, but i tot the proj the tech teams did was simply great! Colours, meaning, words...wow! and it won't be wasted in the efforts. So guys, pls put the link in your blogs and get others to visit the site n evangelise!

So why speedlight is so boring when there's so many things to do?

Check your heart.

Declared an Alpha Thalassaemia positive. Thanks for your prayer guys. As for now, how things will turn out, i'll leave it to the Lord. If this is a family trait passed down from dad, i guess it's a birth 'right'. As in, somehow or rather, it will serve a purpose somehow cos' God will use it for His good, ain't it?

Hmm...Upon getting the letter in my hands, my heart was held for a moment of truth. When i saw e box being checked for Thalassaemia, i sank a little but remembered no matter how, it is His purpose, not mine-His will done, not mine. I'm always reminded thru ministry authority sharing how important 'yet will i praise thee' is.

Ears bring ease but the heart answers fraility

Well, i'm not sad tho'. Just kinda numb cos it's been predicted. Some may say that's having faith at the other side but i suppose some stuff is what your spirit noes best. At least, an answer came back and choices strim-lined. Jia was the first i wanna inform, not to 'cry' myself out but she was the better mentor when it comes to this and bout' me.

I'm glad i did something positive today to my r/s tt is. Pardon me, sometimes i think i'm an 'asshole'. Forgive me, i know that sounds bad but there isn't any better word to describe myself. Sigh, i expected more from myself but...

Knowing is one thing, doing is another (inspired by da)

Da is back. Changed and tired soul. Respect-OCT. Look at him, tough on the inside, soft and still joker on the outside. Good! Still himself...

Now i'm working in Teletech-Call Centre as a Customer Service Rep. The client i'm working for with a few hundreds more is SIA. These members under SIA's Frequent Flyer Program are really rich. The job demands alot. Many of us under the 2 weeks intensive 8hrs/day training cldn't really take it. We survived. I'm proud.

More to come. Members may be nasty but the joy of the Lord shall not leave thou. Pray for me, i'm coughing my lungs out-both of it.

Need a break? Have a sweettalk strawberry red bubble tea. It rocks. Try champagne grape, double rock!

Being a CSR is like lowest life form. Each time i tot of it, i asked myself...What does it take to be a leader and above...My creed, i remembered...

"No task is too lowly for me..."

Life is certainly more, time permits, a lazy soul persits

Respect.
